Taken from Macbeth, the line “fair is foul and foul is fair” is spoken by the three witches to Macbeth on the heath as part of a prophecy. This issue asks what we might inherit from a time that lived through a period of trials and burnings and how that shaped our society that came after. The “Fair Is Foul” issue aimed to create a multifaceted portrait of the witch that takes into account the history of magic but also allows for contemporary ideas of what witchcraft might look like today.
As a founding member of the collective and primary designer I helped curate the content for this issue, did the full layout, typography and visual graphic design of the publication in Adobe InDesign including preparation for print. I also created two custom posters from poetry included in the issue for the launch event at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios in Dublin.

Launched in Temple Bar Gallery + Studios during F_Festival, 2017.

Three of my black & white large and medium format film photographs were featured in the issue and as prints at the launch event.
